So last night me and Cameron decided we wanted to clean off the back porch because we just bought a couple of summer chairs to put back there so on those nice warm nights we can go out and sit there and enjoy the warm weather.
As we were cleaning it off and moving boxes (from when we moved in hahaha - it has been to cold to clean it all off so now its the perfect time) Cameron moved a box and I was inside and outside back and forth because I was making dinner at the same time when I hear

"OH MY GOSHHHHH" I run out there thinking there will be a man eating spider or a dragon or something and all I see is fear in Camerons eyes. I then ask him what is going on and he said under that box there is either a skunk or kittens. We shut the door and braced our selves for the spray and come to find out there were 5 baby kittens all huddled together.
My heart stopped and a mother instinct kicked in and all I wanted to do was help them - mind you I am not a cat fan what so ever and Cameron is very allergic but these poor little guys looked so helpless and they looked like they were on their last lives. We both ran inside and Cameron began looking for the animal control phone number as I started to heat up a bowl of warm milk, we didnt have anything to feed them with so I grabbed a straw to see if there was some way I could drop some in their mouths. No luck :( they were still too young and needed their mom.
We tried calling animal control but they were closed so we decided to call the non emergency police disbatch line and see if there was anything we could do - I then gave them all of our info and they said they would send an officer out to pick them up. When then officer showed up we decided we would meet him in front and as we were doing that our neighbors were walking out to go for a jog and asked why the police were here. I then stated that we found 5 kittens on our porch where the wife instantly fell in love and begged and begged her husband if they could take them to try to help them since me and Cameron couldnt since he was so allergic. Long story short the husband gave in and they took them :)
Then later that night we looked back on the porch and the mamma cat was out there looking for her babies :( I feel so horrible but we thought they were abandoned and we saw a dead cat on the side of the road a few days before so we were assuming it was their mother. But apparently it wasnt :(
