Yes! We are now ENGAGED!
I cant believe it! It still hasnt hit me yet! I feel so lucky & blessed to have found such an amazing guy! Cameron proposed to me on Friday August 6,2010 at dinner in front of 70ish people! Can you believe that? I was shocked...
Here is the story hahaha. So all last week Cameron had been acting kind of funny but I really didnt think anything of it...the word "engagement" did come to mind but I didnt want to think to much into it because if it didnt happen then I didnt want to be disappointed. He was also going over to his parents house EVERYDAY after work which was a little odd because we both try going over on the weekends to visit our parents...I took this as Cameron was a little homesick and missing his family but little did I know he had something else up his sleeve. One of the days he went over to my parents house & asked my mom & dad for permission, then he went over to his parents house to plan how he was going to do so, and lastly they went to the restauarnt to get everything set in stone.

He had told me I had a surprise on Friday (engagement day :]) and that he was taking me to dinner & that we were going somewhere in Sandy at 10:30 for the other part of the evening. I had NO idea what was going on. Earlier on Friday we were on instant messanger talking when I had told him that another person from high school that we knew got engaged...I then told him that I couldnt believe how many people are getting engaged & are getting married this year...Cameron then came back with "I wouldnt want to get engaged or married this year...I would want our own year...I dont want to share with everyone"
OUUUUCH!
I was sooo bummed - all of my suspiscion that I had all week long about "maybe possibly getting engaged" was thrown out the window. I cooled down just in time before I got home because even if I wasnt getting engaged I wanted to enjoy whatever he had planned so I just said to myself "whatever - it will happen someday" He ended up taking me to Olive Garden for dinner (which is my absolute favorite place in the world) and told me he had a reservation there...this shocked me because I knew that Olive Garden didnt take reservations and he was sly and told me it must be a new thing because they did for him and I believed it hahaha. We walked in and got seated right away and nothing seemed out of the ordinary except for the great service we were recieving hahaha I was blown away - waiters & waitresses that werent even our server were filling up my diet coke left and right - I could have had 5 diet cokes on my table at one time if I wanted too hahaha but again I didnt think anything of it - I just told Cameron we needed to come here again because the service was great but once again EVERYONE in the restaurant knew something special was going to happen later and I was recieving celebrity treatment.
As the night went on we just sat there and talked about our days and what we wanted to do that weekend. Time had passed and I had noticed Cameron was getting more and more anxious but I had no idea what was going on because I knew engagement was out of the question. He then asked me if I wanted to know what my other surprise was for later that night I told him "YES" with a big smile & then I saw his eyes start to water and I said "NO NEVERMIND" hahaha - he then said I either find out now - or way later so I agreed to wanting to know right then. Cameron started telling me how much he loves me & how happy I make him. Then in an instant he was on one knee telling me that he wants to grow old with me and wake up next to me every morning and go to sleep next to me every night forever & how he wants to be able to call me his wife and then he asked the question...
OUUUUCH!

I was shaking so bad I couldnt believe what I had just heard - It was such an amazing moment and I just screamed "YES!" and jumped up and hugged him as everyone in the restaurant was screaming and cheering! Then out of no where walked his parents to congratulate us and they kept saying "I finally have a daughter now!" (Cameron has only brothers hahaha) It was such an amazing moment! I will never ever forget it & it made me love my favorite restauarnt that much more!
