Ughhhh where to begin on moving out!
It was so stressful!
I dont know where the heck we got half of the crap we have haha.
And I wish we would have started packing soooner then we did.
Cameron and I kind of postponed packing because we didnt think it would be too bad and honestly it was bad.
I hated every minute of it.
It made both Cameron and I very grumpy hahaha.
But we got it all done :)
BUT...
It wouldnt be a Cameron and Kylie adventure if we didnt run into some problems along the way...
2 weeks before we were scheduled to move out we went and reserved a big 26 foot UHAUL so we could get everything in one load.
My brother Jordan and Cams brother Seth (aka Teammate) volunteered to help us move and we were beyond grateful for that.
I cant even imagine if it was just me and Cameron moving everything.
Anyways we stopped off and got breakfast from McDonalds for them and of coarse the roads and weather were horrible.
That would happen to us haha.
After we all get done eating we headed over to pick up our UHAUL where we found out they LOST our reservation and our Uhaul was off being used by someone else.
I was beyond livid!
And they sure got an ear full because they werent willing to work with us at first...
Until they realized I wasnt backing down hahaha.
They let us take two 14 foot Uhauls for close to the price of the 26 foot Uhaul and the discounted the price per mile which was nice.
I was sooo nervous to drive the Uhaul!
Especially in the weather, thats why I was so excited to have the big one because we all would have fit in that bad boy and Cameron would have driven it, but nooooo.
KB had to drive one too.
To be honest --- it wasnt bad at all.
They are really heavy so we didnt have any problems what so ever and I told Cameron I wouldnt mind having one of those to drive to work when the weather is bad because I felt safe in that bad boy hahaha.
Sadly he said no..
Anywho,
We got the majority of the stuff packed up and decided to head out because the weather just seemed to be getting worse.
We dropped the Uhauls off at my parents and took the boys to a well deserved lunch.
After lunch we called the storage place we rented the trucks from and asked how late we could return them the next day because we were all so exhausted and frozen from packing everything in that crazy Utah winter weater..
We thought they would cut us a break since we had so many problems with them that morning but she said we had to have them back by 12:00pm the next day or we would be charged again...
Cameron worked the next day so that wouldnt work for us...
So Cameron and I toughed it out and unpacked the Uhauls and dropped them off.
I swear we both had frostbite by the end of the night.
Cameron slipped when we were putting everything into storage and we thought he broke his wrist. :(
Poor guy.
----
THEN the next morning we get a phone call from the storage people telling us that they changed their minds and that we can keep the Uhauls all day that day and even some of the next if we wanted...
Ummm thanks alot idiots we froze our butts off taking everything over that night because you told us we couldnt have them when we needed them till.
----
Hahaha do you see why it was so dang stressful!
I am SOOOO glad its over!
But it will be something we look back on in 50 years laughing at saying...
"Remember when the Uhaul place lost our reservation, and how you slipped unpacking, then how they called us the next day and told us we could have them for longer after they told us we couldnt."
----
Things at my parents house are going great and we are SOOOO grateful for them helping us.
I seriously dont know what we would do without them.
Although we had some great memories in our little apartment...
(waterfights, late night runs for snacks, slow dancing in the living room, clogging the kitchen drain etc...the list can go on and on)
I am ready to see what the future has in store for our little family.
:)
